Craftech manufactures parts for cabinetry hardware and wet benches in plastics that perform well in the highly corrosive chemicals used in the photoresist process. Parts that don’t decompose also increase the chip yield on each wafer because they don’t let off particulates into the environment. Some of the most popular high performance plastics for use in the semiconductor industry include polypropylene, PVC, PVDF, and PEEK.

Frequently Asked Questions
Craftech Industries produces plastic screws, nuts, washers, bushings, spacers, threaded rod, handles, hinges and other plastic components and plastic fasteners including custom shapes for use in manufacturing. Our plastic hardware is used in satellites, cell phone antennas, submarines, airplanes, boats, satellites, medical devices, and industrial machinery.
High performance engineered plastics are used in applications where metal s do not perform well. Plastics are different from metals in that they are chemical-resistant, microwave clear, non-conductive, and corrosion resistant. For example, acid-resistant plastics can be used in semi-conductor processing machinery and in chemical processing. Certain salt water resistant plastics like Isoplast perform better than metal in boats and submarines.
Microwave clear applications include medical devices, satellites, cell phone antennas, submarines, and test equipment. PEEK, PVDF, PTFE, PVC, and CPVC are commonly used in these applications.
